One of the organizers is FIZ Karlsruhe whose Vice President Information Service Engineering,  Prof. Sack, is Conference Chair and a member of the conference’s Permanent Advisory Board.

EPFULL resumes updating and adds IPC8 enhancements 12. February 2006

File EPFULL has been updated with week 2006/01 after an interruption of updating caused by producer delivery format changes as of January 2006. Updating with weeks 2006/02 to 2006/07 will be completed next week.

IPC Thesaurus has been added to INPADOC, EPFULL and other patent files 07. February 2006

An IPC thesaurus covering IPC 1-8 is now available in these further files on STN: INPADOC, EPFULL, FRANCEPAT, RUSSIAPAT and PATDPASPC. The IPC thesaurus will be added to more files as soon as IPC8 data will become available in these files.

Monthly current-awareness alert (SDI) frequency added to TULSA 03. February 2006

In response to customer requests, a new monthly current-awareness alert (SDI) frequency is available in TULSA. Current-awareness alerts (SDIs) are now available both weekly (default) and monthly.

Saved answer limit increased 28. January 2006

The saved (non-TEMP) answer limit has been increased from 200,000 to 400,000, allowing you more flexibility with complex searches. The temporary saved answer limit remains at 500,000. For more information about STN limits, enter HELP LIMIT.

IPC 8 searching in IFIPAT, IFIUDB, and IFICDB 22. January 2006

Because IPC 8 codes have begun appearing in the IFIPAT/IFIUDB/IFICDB, keep the following in mind while searching:

IPC 8 (IPC R) in Derwent World Patents Index and DWPI First View 18. January 2006

IPC 8 codes, introduced in January 2006, first appear in update 200603/DW (20060112/UP) in WPIFV, WPINDEX, WPIX and WPIDS. Until the enhanced versions of WPINDEX, WPIX and WPIDS become available later in quarter one 2006, the IPC 8 codes will be dealt with as follows:
