SEMANTiCS is the leading European conference on Semantic Technologies and AI and is held for the first time in Karlsruhe, Germany. One of the organizers is FIZ Karlsruhe whose Vice President Information Service Engineering,  Prof. Sack, is Conference Chair and a member of the conference’s Permanent Advisory Board.

Extended Downtime on November 23, 2014

To implement system upgrades, STN downtime will be extended for some STN databases on Sunday, November 23, 2014.

In Japan:

Partial service will be restored by 15.00 h Japan Standard Time on November 23. Full service will resume by 20.00 h JST.

In Europe:

Partial service will be restored by 07.00 h Central European Time (CET) on November 23. Full service will be restored by 12.00 h CET.

In North America:

Partial service will be restored at 01.00 h Eastern Standard Time (EST). Full service will be restored by 06.00 h Eastern Standard Time.

When partial STN service is restored, the CAS databases, BIOSIS, Embase and Medline are among the databases that will return to service at that time.

Databases that will be unavailable until the end of extended downtime include Derwent World Patent Index, INPADOC, ReaxysFile, INSPEC, COMPENDEX and full text patent databases other than the US Patent files.
