Retrieved BATCH results in DGENE, USGENE and PCTGEN are now available for 30 days

21. July 2014

Since July 2014 the time limit for retrieved sequence batch requests has been increased from 7 to 30 days in DGENE, USGENE and PCTGEN (see HELP CHANGE in each file).
Now, BATCH search results will remain available on STN for 30 days after the first retrieval before they are automatically deleted
The fees for the sequence BATCH search option remain unaffected.

BATCH search features and benefits

The sequence BATCH search option provides a facility to run GETSEQ, BLAST and GETSIM searches in offline mode. This may be especially useful for searches which would otherwise take a long time to complete in online mode. It also provides a suitable way to retrieve batch results repeatedly without additional costs (e.g. for different processing approaches for results without having to re-execute the same search repeatedly in online mode).

For detailed information concerning sequence batch searching consult the online HELP SBATCH in each file.
