CHEMLIST enhanced with intermediate list of pre-registered REACH

24. October 2008

On October 7, 2008, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published an intermediate list of approximately 40,000 substances pre-registered for REACH between June 1 and October 1, 2008 (http://echa.europa.eu).

This intermediate REACH pre-registration list has been added to CHEMLIST.  Now you can determine if a substance has been pre-registered for REACH, as well as access the regulatory history for the substance.
To determine if your substance of interest is on the intermediate list of pre-registered REACH substances, refer to the EINECS, ELINCS, or NLP section of the Inventory (INV) field.

To learn about how other databases on STN can help with REACH compliance, refer to STNews
(http://www.cas.org/support/stngen/stnews/stnarticles/reach.html).

Additional information about CHEMLIST is available in the STN Database Summary Sheet (http://www.cas.org/support/stngen/dbss/index.html) or STNGuide.
