Free maintenance upgrade for STN Express 8.0 with Discover! (Microsoft Windows)
The latest free maintenance upgrade is 8.01c. If your version of STN Express is 8.0, 8.01, 8.01a or 8.01b, we recommend that you go to Step A below and upgrade. If you have a version of Express older than 8.0, then you must purchase an upgrade to 8.01.
You must have a web browser and an active connection to the Internet to download an upgrade.
NOTE: STN Express 8.0 requires QuickTime® software from Apple Computer, Inc., for some functions that involve images and graphics. Follow the instructions at Apple's Download QuickTime web site to install QuickTime player on your Windows PC.
Step A: Open the free maintenance download site in your web browser
Go to the download site or copy http://downloads.stn-international.de/stndownloads/stndownloads/ into your browser's address/location box.
Note: This free maintenance upgrade will ONLY work on V8.0, V8.01, V8.01a or 8.01b. It is not a full installer.
Step B: Download the upgrade
Choose "Upgrade from 8.0 to 8.01, 8.01, 8.01a or 8.01b - Maintenance Release" and download the file to your Desktop or other convenient location.
Step C: Install the upgrade
- Close all STN Express windows.
- Find the file that you downloaded. Look for a file or icon named v801c_upgrade.exe.
- Double-click the icon to launch the upgrade installer. Follow the prompts. Refer to your STN Express 8.01 Getting Started for details.
Step D: Verify the upgrade
Launch STN Express and check its exact version. If it's not the version you expect, review steps A - C. If it is the version you expect, you may delete the downloaded file.
