ICSD Intranet is a solution for companies, consortia, and universities that would like to offer their customers easy-to-use intranet access via in-house solutions on local web servers. The intranet version runs on any system with the following minimum requirements:

• A running webserver (e.g. Apache)
• PHP version 4 or greater
• MySQL database server version 4 or greater

Tests have been performed und Windows 2000, Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, SuSE Linux 10.3 and 11.1.

It can be accessed with any current browser (Firefox, MS Internet Explorer, Opera). Browsers have to have cookies and JavaScript activated as well as the Java Runtime Environment version 1.6 or greater installed.

The intranet version offers a huge set of features which make the search, retrieval and visualization of the desired information easy and comfortable:

Comprehensive search masks, extended crystal structure visualization and analysis tools, powder pattern simulation with the possibility of enhanced manipulation.

At present, the ICSD contains more than 150,000 entries, including

• 1,616 crystal structures of the elements
• 28,354 records for binary compounds
• 55,436 records for ternary compounds
• 54,144 records for quarternary and quintenary compounds
• About 113,000 entries (75,6%) have been assigned a structure type.
  There are currently 6,336 structure prototypes.
